I have been thinking about designing a new proper logo for bicyclosis for a while now and yesterday was the day to do it. I wanted it to look adventurous/exotic/oldschool/rugged and inspiring. I hope you like it!
Along with the new logo , bicyclosis! is changing from a personal blog to something (hopefully) bigger. I’d like it to be a meeting point for cyclists that like cycling as it used to be, pure and adventurous, without the modern craze that destroys the very essence of the greatest invention of all time. The craze that make bicycle to look like an expensive, snobby, car-dependent, working-out machine. No, bicycle is not that. It’s actually the exact opposite. Bicycle is the cheapest, most durable, easiest to maintain, friendliest for socializing, most accessible, most efficient, most earth friendly transportation medium on the planet. Yes, transportation medium. I don’t want to talk too much about that here, because I will be preparing the manifesto of the oldschool cycling in the near future. The main idea is this though: bikes should be used as transportation mediums that have the ability to make the journey as valuable as the destination. This blog is all about the lost art of oldschool cycling. Expect more hacks, more suggestions, more ramblings, more pics, more ideas.
Expensive/light/latest/high tech/new are words that describe the UN-bicyclosis.
