My brothers glasses kept breaking on the pivot point. After some repairs the guy at the shop told him to buy a new pair because the soldering couldn’t hold it for more than a month of use. Anyway, he was ready to buy a new pair, but I wanted to give it a try first. This is what I made with two pieces of wire and a pair of niddlenose pliers to make the wire hold the little metal “ears” of the glasses. You can see the ugly tape for the ends. They have much better looking heat-shrink tubes now. This is not a job of a craftsman but it’s just the prototype and it works like a charm. And you can’t beat it’s durability and comfort (fits like a glove on any head/ears).
